The Season of Change

Fallen Leaf

Things to celebrate in autumn...
Harvest
Crisp air
 Trick-or-Treat
Vibrant Colors
Changing leaves
Long cozy nights
Thanksgiving dinner
Family birthdays and anniversaries

Things to do.....
Sit by the fire
Up Netflix subscription
Bring touchy plants indoors
Add a extra layer of colorful clothing
Compose my Thanksgiving ‘gratitude list’
Celebrate family birthdays and anniversaries
Change the sheer curtains to thick velvet drapes
Pull out the flannel sheets and thick down comforters
Unpack sweaters, scarves, hats, mittens, fleece, and the UGGS
Buy hundreds of scented candles to light the upcoming long winter nights
Go through magazines for recipes and images for collage work
Bake breads, crisps, pies and ciders for friends and family
Make a stockpile of chicken soup for the cold season
Add a new tall stack of books to the side of my bed
Organize photos, art journals and writing projects
Take long Saturday hikes along deserted trails
Pull out geology and work on the family tree
Cuddle, snuggle, cozy, and share a blanket
Pull out soup, stews, and bread recipes
Design and make autumn wreath
  Make Halloween costumes
Dust off the crock pot
Buy herbal teas
Meditate

What are the things you do to celebrate change?

The hush of leaves

  2. Thanks Lisa! I was so lucky to catch the fall leaves at peak...it was heaven. I was at a writers retreat of which I did less writing and more hiking because having an experience like this come only once in a life time.
